FLORENCE, Ala. — For all practical purposes, the presidency of Donald J. Trump is over. It’s time for someone to inform him that he should resign now before the FBI has to arrest him and escort him from the White House on live national television.

This Trump ship is sinking like the Titanic. Someone needs to grab the wheel and steer it clear of the looming iceberg.

At the same time, the national mainstream corporate news media needs to stop dancing around the facts and trying to be fair to this tyrant and say what needs to be said.

As news junkies everywhere watched cable news coverage or the Twitter news feed on Monday as FBI agents raided the home and office of Trump’s bag man and fixer lawyer Michael Cohen, the one who admitted to paying porn star and stripper Stormy Daniels hush money in the run up to the election in 2016, the typical rampant speculation on broadcast and cable news outlets was off the mark as usual.

The raid itself was conducted like a typical raid on the mob or foreign spies, according to attorney Scott Horton, who posted on Facebook that this case, in fact, involves both. Since his election in 2016, the swearing in January, 2017, and pretense of distancing himself from his business enterprises, Trump has been running a mob-like money laundering criminal enterprise out of the White House involving financing from Russian mobsters and oligarchs.

He has not even tried very hard to hide it, only saying on Twitter, “I am the president. I can do whatever I want.”

“This search warrant is like dropping a bomb on Trump’s front porch,” said Joyce White Vance, a former U.S. attorney in Alabama.

Other signs that Monday’s FBI raid and other announcements on Tuesday morning were clearly the beginning of the end for Trump’s reality show as president?

As I woke up in the campground along the Tennessee River and checked the Twitter feed, I saw that MSNBC was just then announcing the resignation of Trump’s Homeland Security Adviser Tom Bossert, possibly in the backlash against the plan to establish a blacklist database for the press and journalists.

Then it was announced that Trump had canceled his scheduled first trip to Latin America as president for the Summit of the Americas in Lima, Peru with a side trip to Bogota, Columbia. Vice President Mike Pence will make the trip instead, although that means he may be out of the country when special counsel Robert Mueller and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein drop the real bomb on Trump and arrest him.

“Michael Cohen is the most important non-Trump in the Trump business world,” said Adam Davidson with the New York Times magazine and NPR on Twitter. “He oversaw nearly all the foreign deals as the Trump Org shifted its focus to sketchy third-tier overseas oligarchs.”

He says Cohen, Ivanka, and Don, Jr., were “the entire global development team at a time when the company was exploring dozens of deals all over the world.” And if Cohen were to flip on Trump and agree to testify to save himself, “it would be Ivanka and Don, Jr. who should be most worried.”

Although he also speculates that Cohen could count on a pardon from Trump and that the odds of Trump firing Mueller have now gone up considerably.

But that could be total political suicide for Trump and the move that could even turn Republicans in Congress against him.

“It would be suicide for the president to fire Mueller,” Republican Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley said on Fox Business news. “…the less the president said on this whole thing, the better off he would be…”

But Trump can’t help himself. When asked on Air Force One about the FBI raids, Trump dismissed it as a “witch hunt.”

Then he tweeted that it was “A TOTAL WITCH HUNT!!!” with three exclamation points in all caps. Then in lower case letters, he said, “Attorney–client privilege is dead!”

Isn’t it past time for a real attorney to explain the law to Trump and get him to stop talking? Every word he says is just another piece of evidence against him.

Nevermind. Keep talking Trump. Keep tweeting. Forget that old saw about not commenting on an ongoing investigation. That was just PR for losers, right?

Watch this peeps. The biggest loser of them all is about to exit the building. To his credit, it will be the largest rated TV audience ever. It will be HUGE!!!

Those swamp dwellers who most despise Trump are also the ones who most want the US to attack and wreck Syria (as was done to Iraq and Libya)…if he does what they so desire to Syria, they won’t despise him as much for everything else and will ease off on the witch hunt…such thinking would be logical for Trump…therefore Bombs Away!!!!

Excellent analysis there dunder. Trump is another billionaire crook of course. He just isn’t playing along with the bigger and most established cabal of billionaire crooks that are now after him. It will take We the People to turn this ship around through massive collective bargaining at the local, state and national levels.
